Beatrice String Studio

Lisa teaches Violin, viola, cello, piano and music theory as well as directing the Fiddle Group.

Lisa graduated with a bachelors degree in Piano and Cello performance from Brunel University, London where she studied under Robert Bailey, Elizabeth Angel and Carlina Carr.

She then went on to gain her Post Graduate Certificate in Education from Leicester University.

Lisa then taught in the UK public school system for 10 years where she was a music specialist, conducting choirs and orchestras before moving to Michigan with her family.

In Michigan Lisa taught cello, piano and violin at the St Clair County School for Strings and in her own private studio. She also conducted one of the string orchestras at the school and developed and lead the Young Person’s “Singing Rascals” music program.

Lisa moved to Texas where she had a private music studio and played with the Fort Worth Civic Orchestra for 11 years, the past 6 years being their principal cellist. She was also the choral director of the Military Wives Choir on the Carswell Joint Reserve Base.

In May 2019 Lisa and her husband, Ryan, moved to Nebraska.

For the next two years Lisa taught at Harris Academy of the Arts in Lincoln. Through covid she honed her computer skills and taught all of her 65+ students online!

Since January 2022 Lisa has been teaching in and around her home village of Sterling and she has been playing with the Beatrice Regional Orchestra as well as musicians from both Lincoln and Omaha for private events and recitals.

When she’s not sharing her passion for music, Lisa likes to walk her 3 dogs, help with the various animals she has on her homestead and Chair her local library Friends group.
